How is the course delivered?
Learners will be provided with detailed webinar based theory content for this course 8 weeks prior to classroom sessions (scheduled below). This is to allow learners to familiarise themselves with the complexity of the dogs mind, and to build the learners knowledge of theoretical concepts prior to the commencement of hands-on practical training sessions.
To get the most out of the course, we focus heavily on practical training and skills development during our classroom sessions.
During the first half of the course we will focus on developing the learners hands-on dog training skills, and confidence in their ability to train dogs of all different personalities and and breed types.
During the second half of the course we will focus on developing the learners dog training instructing skills. This is a whole new skill set on top of the ability to train dogs, as you now must develop your ability to observe pet dog owners carrying out training exercises, and skillfully and positively provide the human end of the leash with clear guidance and support to help them further develop their ability to train their own dog.
